1 1831 July-August- living in Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana when Zebedee Coltrin and Levi Hancock arrived to preach the gospel. (Levi Hancock Journal) The missionaries encouraged them to gather to Missouri instead of Kirtland, Ohio with Father Johnson leading the way. Family: F197

4 As a widower, William fought in the Revolutionary War and was wounded at the Battle of Guilford County Courthouse on March 15, 1781. He was apparently left for dead on the battlefield, but was later revived and taken to convalesce to the home of Sarah McMULLEN who is reported to have nursed him back to health. This family consisted of Amy Kirby Orme, the widow of Samuel Orme, and their children Samuel Washington Orme, age 23, Sarah Ann, age 29, and Rebecca, age 18.
